New Drama: Lipstick Jungle

I came across a new Drama name Lipstick Jungle and i end up spending my whole sunday watching the whole seasons 1 which consist of 7 episode. It is also a sexy drama, for those who like SATC+ Desperate housewife (although i dun really follow the DH), Lipstick Jungle is definetly a mixture with 70% of SATC + 30% DH. If u are looking something to replace the SATC, give a try on Lipstick Jungle!

Saturday, I finally watched the SATC Movie!!! It was a Joyful moment to see those girls (ops, i shd say women) again after the Final Season ends 4 yrs ago. It is a lot of fun to watch the movie and ofcos there are also a few shots that really make me feel sad even just bcos of a single sentence...
The most important message i got from the whole SATC is The importancy of Friendship !!!

Girls/ Women somehow feel that or secretly hope that deep inside her, there is a part of her to be the combination of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Challothe (the 4 main character from S&TC).

What is your status..?

When I am applying for my National Insurance in UK, (for PPL, the one we got showing in the tax letter wasn’t actually a NI number, it is just a temporary code showing that we actually do not have NI number) I came across something funny.
In Malaysia, when we were ask to choose our status, it is actually very straight forward, Single/ Married/ Widowed/ Divorced.
But in UK, there are a lot more choices including Civil Partner/ Separated (what is the difference between separated and divorced??)/ Civil Partnership dissolved and dang dang dang dang..the most strangest status.. The Surviving Civil Partner!!!
What does it means by Surviving Civil Partner?? Does it means u r struggling whether to separate with the civil partner??
If it is so, why there is no such thing as Surviving Marriage to choose???
I really have no idea what is all about and lucky me, I just tick on Single and settle everything….
So next time when u are ask to choose, pls think carefully….

My Neighbourhood

My Neighbourhood looks peaceful ne!

It is really convenient to have Sainsbury (supermarket) nearby my apartment. It is only less than 2 mins walk from my door!! So, i visited the supermarket almost everyday!! when my intension is going to buy a pint of milk, i will end up buying vegi, dessert and tibits....
Everytime i go, i end up buying a lot of food.....and i end up eating them at home :)
Notice that my pants is getting tight :( .....
Cham-loh..Must stop this kind of action :P

21st June 08, Brighton Day Trip

Unfortunately, it was a cloudy day without the Sunshine :(, we still decide to go ahead with our plan for the day trip to brighton, the southern part of England.
Some of u might know that I used to study in Brighton 10 yrs ago (OMG..issit really that long ago???) Returning to Brighton has always 1 of my plan and i really want to see how much changes in brighton over the pass 10 yrs.
Arriving Brighton at 11am, we decided to walk straight to the seaside. while walking along the street, i try to catch something familiar scene, but unforunately, I hardly see any except the old clock tower is still standing at the entrance of Churchill Sq.
Came to the seaside, looking at the right, i saw the burn down West Pier, a beautiful antique look pier which wa built in the 1800s was destroyed by fire in 2003...sad....
walking on the beach, yes, the rocky beach...Jessie and Kevin find it amazing that the beach is actually all rocks instead of sand...
On the Pier, it still look the same as 10 yrs back except a few more roller coaster has been added in the limited space.
After the pier, we had our lunch at seaside. Hornestly, even i stay in brighton 10 yrs ago, i didn't actually try the fish n chips there b4, its actually veyr delicious especially the cod fish.
After that, we walk towards the Royal Pavillion, which look abit like the Mosque :)
Heard that it was build from the royal to please one of the arabic wife/mistress?? long long time ago....
after the walk, we catch a bus to Marina Bay, I remember i used t go there to buy grocery as they have a very big asda supermarket. But now, the marina bay has become one of the very happening place where they have lots of restaurant, cinema, bowling center and factory outlet shopping area..
It was a tired trip but i am glad that we made it eventhough the weather wasn't really good. At least I find myself something to do in the weekend :)
I wish to go back Brighton again in a real summer day to enjoy the sunshine and the atmosphere at the seaside :), Myabe wait for rain to come back in august huh!

Best Route to travel in Tokyo

Promise QQ to advice her on the traveling in Tokyo.
So let write it here to share with those who are interested to travel in Tokyo.
Personally, below are my favorite route for a day trip in or nearby Tokyo.

1. Asakusa-Odaiba
Asakusa is a must visit location for who ever that visit Tokyo for the first time!
U might not know that asakusa also famous for ten-don (tempura rice).
And u might think, cheh~~ tempura ??!! What so special?
Let me tell u, the tempura bowl in Asakusa is extremely delicious!!!!!
There is a few shops along the main road when u walking towards the front entrance of Asakusa, all of them are famous.
I tried once, zen zen oishi ne! and I cann’t find the ten-don as delicious as it anyway else…
Okok, back to the journey, U must go to Asakusa in the morning, take the ten-don as lunch,
After that, walk towards the Asahi building (the building that has a strange golden cloud look on top of the building de..).
Take the boat journey to Odaiba. Appreciate both side of the scenery along the river and u will pass under the Rainbow Bridge.
Arriving at Odaiba, there is a lot more to do, u can go shopping, visit museum and exhibition hall, big Ferries wheel, seaside……
This will last u for the rest of the day. And it is easier to go back to Tsudanuma by taking the monorail to Shin-bashi and change the train to Tsudanuma.

2. Hakone 1 day trip
My favorite trip as well, Can u imagine I been there 3 times already??? Geng ler!
It is a very beautiful place and have a fantastic view of Mt. Fuji. Get a 3 day Pass that cost u 5500Yen at Shinjuku station at the Odaikyu Line Ticket Counter. This ticket will take care all you following journey that involve, bus, cable car , boat, and train. Very very worth to buy this ticket!!
Pick up a leaflet at the Odaikyu counter that advice you how to go around in Hakone.
Good Tips: give urself 2 hrs to enjoy the Onsen in the town b4 u left Hakone!!!!!!

Above are the best 2 route while u are having short break in Tokyo, U can’t afford to miss that!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the inspiration and also the encouragement from Kang Bee, I try my first grill meal.

It meant to be easy, chop all the vegi and seasons with salt and pepper, same to the salmon, and put all into the roast pan and grill in oven for about 20mins.

da da da da! the outcome is infact very deleicious!!!!!!!!

Summer Time!

As the summer is just around the corner, we get long day light nowadays. Sun rise at 4am (maybe earlier??, cos I once woke up at 4 and already very bright) and goes completely dark at 10pm. Make me feel that I have a lot of day time to spent. The longest daytime will be 21st June (where our beloved Christine’s birthday huh…) and then the daylight will start to reduce gradually.
The weather is very good now, around 15 to 25 degC. With the gentle breeze and sunlight, u really feels that u need to go outside even just for a walk. Unfortunately, none of my walking kaki is with me L. Feel lonely to go for a walk alone but that is what we need to overcome in our life, u cann’t expect there will always be someone by ur side to walk with u J. Dun worry, I am well trained! I sometime think that I was meant to live alone. From going abroad to study alone, working abroad alone (Thailand, Japan, Singapore and now UK) I think I did great and manage to work out somehow..
Ok, back to the title, I must now think of doing something interesting this coming weekend. Try to fit in a movie (my favorite movie, sex and the city J) and a short trip to Brighton if the weather is good. Not many of u all knows that I once used to study in Brighton 10 yrs ago….and haven’t been back since I left in 1998. Will love to go back and have a look and bring back some young and fun memories!

Over the Weekend

So sorry to disappointed u all that I didn’t upload anything through out the weekend. I am too lazy, no other excuse, I just too lazy to even surf net. The only place in my house that can borrow people’s wireless is on top pf my fridge. So u can imagine, I have to stand in front of the fridge to do all the typing, so pls excuse me if I didn’t upload anything yet. Wait for my broadband to come in on Friday, I will then can sit comfortably on my sofa n type something and perhaps upload some photos to share.
Meanwhile, just to let u all know that I am doing great. I feel more relax after a weekend and a hot bath. Just a bit lonely here as I have no one to talk to either in office nor home……
Over the weekend, went to London on Saturday to meet up a few friends for dim sum and buy my cooking ingredients from the Chinatown. The rest of the weekend is just lying at home be a couch potato…
Lazy huh!

Alternative Working Week (AWW)

In my company, we have AWW, which means for continuosly 2 weeks we work 1 extra hr on monday to thursday, the last friday is a day off! So, i got an alternative friday off from work!!!
never in my lifetime think that friday can be off alternatively (normally in msia, some people still work on saturday or alternative saturday!) I am really happy about this arrangement , which means i can arrange my weekend get away holiday on friday! Sioknya!

Updating News

Today is the 2nd day of work, manage to bump into a malaysian on the shuttle bus (serving from train station to office since the office is quite far (about 10mins drive) from the town). Invited to join the "malaysia+ international "group of people for lunch at the cafe. Although just met 1 chinese girl, 1 malay guy and 1 indian guy from msia, but at least there are msian right....
Later evening, My boss call me and ask whether I am keen on taking up a short relocation job (6 weeks) in singapore office....Muahahahahhaha, without 2nd though, ofcos i said yes to him :)
so that i can fly back home twice a week (since we have cheap air asia and jet airway now ).
So lets keep our finger cross that this relocation will be succesful! Boss just sent over my resume to singapore office....hopefully will see u all soon again in KL????

The best way is to sent me back to London after my brother's wedding and at the same time, Rain will be back in London already :) and we can start the 2nd part of our europe trip.

Hello from UK

Dear All,
Finally I settle down! Phew!!!
talking about my pass few days!! it has been really really tension!
since i got a very short notice, I didn't manage to contact any of my friend who still stay in london. By leaving them emails, hope that either of them can read it and be ready to let me stay temporary before i get a new accomadation, i just fly off with my heart damn worrying....
Arriving London, one of my fren inform that her husband is with her, so i cannot stay with her, my cousin and husband is leaving for holiday and my last chance is my ex-collegue, Gan! Luckily manage to get hold of him. But later on, i find out that he is leaving UK on sunday!! So i will be homeless from sunday!!!!!
So, i really try very very hard to get a apartment, but unfortunely its either being taken (even once, i already paid for the deposit!!!!!!) or it is too expensive that i barely can afford!
I really tense and i could sleep (oh god,this is the first time in my life that i was tooo tension and i cannot sleep at all!!!!!!!Gosh!!!)
With the time tickling...i decided to take an apartment that is out of my budget. I call the agent and told her my decision and situation. Lucky for me ( I must thank all of u for the wishes and praying!!!) the agent told me that there is a furnished studio just came into market, without 2nd though, i rush to view the apartment and take it immediately!!!!!!!!
Lucky for me , the owner agree to let me move in before the document being done in advance.
I move in on sunday morning and i really really feel relief by now!
Just to let u all know about my nightmare expereince!
I my currently stealing someone else wireless at my apartment, so I will continue stealing it until i get my new braodband!!!
